Heavy Timber Scissor Truss With Steel Gusset Plates
Fort Harrison State Park

This commercial post & beam project features custom heavy timber scissor trusses for the Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis, Indiana. We built several picnic shelter frames and a comfort station entry using Southern Yellow Pine, Oak and Cedar. We worked with MacDougall Pierce Construction, The State of Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and Architect Paul Cripe.

This timber roof truss features traditional wood and steel joinery. All of our frames are handcrafted to meet exact project requirements, and we enjoy working with our clients to make sure the details - from design to finish - are just right. Let our in-house design and engineering team design the perfect heavy timber truss for your project!
