Heavy Timber Trusses and beams in the True Friends Animal Welfare Center in Montrose PA

This 106′ x 44′ barn style timber frame was specially designed to house the animals at the Susquehanna Animal Shelter. This custom post and beam frame barn style building features mixed native hemlock & white pine heavy timbers, traditional wood joinery, and both large & small dormers.

The Animal Shelter features a lobby, a dog area with glass-sided kennels, a cat area, and an outdoor space.

We worked with Engineering Ventures, Judith Repp Architects, and commercial contractor Broadline Construction.
