This project is located in Ludlow, VT and features decorative timber frame accents.
The home isn’t quite finished in the pictures below, but you can tell the owners have good reason to look forward to moving day!
This house goes on and on, but what I’d like to share with you is the timber framing details, of course.
These timbers are hand hewn and have a driftwood stain by minwax. The rustic beams are a nice contrast to the light ceiling & walls. The trusses are king-post inspired and primarily decorative. The doubled up ties are doing some work, but that’s about it. It’s a cool design.
Beyond the timber frame, there are unique design details throughout this home, including the lighting and a pretty kitchen. Also, check out that sink!
Trestlewood used reclaimed timber to create stairs. Ted Stryhas Builders is the contracting firm on this project and they do a fantastic job. Tobias Gabranski is the architect. His attention to detail is wonderful, not to mention, he is fun to work with.
