How do we get started on a design?
Answered by Doug Friant
We always start with our client’s ideas. Everyone usually has an vision of what they like either from seeing pictures on our web site, or from magazines. Clippings or links are a great help to us. We can even work with back of the napkin sketches to get started.
Once we have your ideas, including a rough size of the building, how many stories, the roof pitch, the general layout and look, we get started by drawing pencil sketches of the frame for review and preliminary pricing. Once a budget is established, we can enter into a formal agreement and get to work on 3d drawings for your project.

im interested in an estimate on a pre-existing barn addition in Burlington.
Seeking a mixed use of timber frame, w/concrete, brick, stonework and steel elements.
Do you schedule site estimates and what is the cost?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers-
