We worked on the Hotel One project at Jay Peak, and are glad to be working on their new Hotel and Day Lodge now.
The project is comprised of several areas, including a Snowmobile Shed, a Loading Dock, a Porte Cochere, an Entry area, and a Ticket Booth.
This project has a number of very interesting engineering complexities, not the least of which is the snow loads. Jay is in northern Vermont and has quite a bit of snow fall per annum, not surprising since it is a ski resort! A few of the beams for our project had to be very large glulams to carry all the load.
We should be on site to raise these buildings in a few weeks–more pictures then!
If you have any questions regarding this project we encourage you to get in contact with us or share your thoughts in the comment section below.
Raising happened this week and will continue into part of next, more pictures are just around the corner!!
